Christianity Done Right
Christianity is better than dull, bureaucratic compliance with a Church's stultifying codex of rules, regulations, rituals, red tape and rigmarole. Exhorting us to dot our 'i's and to cross our 't's is faux Christianity. Perfunctory ticket punching our way into heaven is not how Christianity is done. Christianity, done right, is confronting the children of Adam and Eve with the prodigious love of God and challenging them to come to grips with it. If you are not confronting the children of Adam and Eve with the prodigious love of God and challenging them to come to grips with it, you are not doing Christianity. The prodigious love of God is the most powerful force on earth. It gives Christianity its magic, Jesus his charisma, us, our joy, and clerics, who exclusively devote themselves to it, the power to change the world. Our salvation depends not on how well we comply with a bureaucrat's checklist of dos and don’ts. Our salvation depends on our response to the prodigious love of God. The prodigious love of God is the engine that generates the current of salvation. The current of salvation sweeps us off our feet and carry’s us back to the comfort of our home with God in paradise.
